Masala Oats
Ingredients
- 40g raw oats
- half an onion, thinly chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1 pinch of ground cumin
- 1 pinch of garam masala
- 1 pinch of turmeric powder
- 1/4 of teaspoon of coriander seeds
- 1 pinch of red chili powder
- 3/4 of teaspoon of tomato paste
- salt
Directions
- In a pan, grill the raw oats until they become golden, set aside
- In a pan, add the olive oil, and sauté the onions until golden, add the garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes
- Add your cumin, garam masala, turmeric, coriander seeds, red chili powder, and tomato paste, cook for 2 minutes
- Add 25cL of water, salt, and stir continuously on low heat for 5 minutes
- Add the oats, and cook on low heat until the water has evaporated
- Serve with fresh coriander on top! (optional)
