Masala Oats

Ingredients

  • 40g raw oats
  • half an onion, thinly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil 
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 pinch of ground cumin
  • 1 pinch of garam masala
  • 1 pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1/4 of teaspoon of coriander seeds
  • 1 pinch of red chili powder
  • 3/4 of teaspoon of tomato paste
  • salt

Directions

  1. In a pan, grill the raw oats until they become golden, set aside
  2. In a pan, add the olive oil, and sauté the onions until golden, add the garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes
  3. Add your cumin, garam masala, turmeric, coriander seeds, red chili powder, and tomato paste, cook for 2 minutes
  4. Add 25cL of water, salt, and stir continuously on low heat for 5 minutes
  5. Add the oats, and cook on low heat until the water has evaporated
  6. Serve with fresh coriander on top! (optional)
