Close to the Ultimate Burger

Ingredients:

  • 250g ground beef
  • 3 burger buns, cut in two horizontaly
  • 1 egg
  • panko crumbs
  • 1.5 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1.5 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 Shan masala packet of Tikka Masala
  • Emmental cheese slices
  • 1 beef tomatoe, sliced
  • iceberg lettuce
  • pickles
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • balsamic vinegar
  • 2 table spoons of brown sugar
  • olive oil
  • butter
  • sauces (mayonnaise, ketchup, Tabasco…)

For the patties:

  1. In a bowl, add the ground beef, Shan masala, ginger paste, garlic paste, 1 egg, panko crumbs, and olive oil
  2. Mix well, and set aside in the fridge for 4-6 hours
  3. Form some balls with the meat, and flatten it
  4. Fry each side on high heat for 2.5 minutes
  5. Decrease the heat, add a slice of Emmental on each patty, cover, and let it melt for 2 mn

For the onions:

  1. In a saucepan, sautee the onions with olive oil, add the balsamic vinegar and sugar
  2. Decrease the heat, and let it caramelize for 10 minutes
  3. Set aside

For the buns:

  1. Melt some butter in a pan, golden each side of the bun, set aside

Building the burger:

  1. Put the sauces you want on each side of the bun
  2. From bottom to top, add: the lettuce, the tomatoes, the patties, the onions, and the pickles
  3. Close the burger, bite into it, let the sauce drip on your fingers, and enter the doors of heaven!
