Sauce Béchamel

Ingredients

  • 40g butter
  • 2 tablespoons of flour 
  • 3/4L of milk at room temperature (3 cups)
  • Salt, pepper, and nutmeg

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, melt your butter at medium heat 
  2. Add the flour and cook for about 3 minutes until the flour becomes brownish 
  3. Add your milk one table spoon at a time and mix until the texture if homogenous 
  4. Add salt, pepper, and nutmeg
  5. You can use béchamel for making casseroles, pasta sauce, lasagna, and much more!
